spoiled rotten bday girl.

you may want to put on sunglasses, this post is BRIGHT. color overload.:)

this was her actual bday. nori had a practice cupcake for her big party. that night she took two licks of icing then shoved it away. haha.

new year’s eve we spent the whole day baking and cleaning. aunt debbie bought us these aprons. flirty aprons:)

sarah, ali and their girls came over to help. olivia was the taste tester when aunt ali wasn’t lookin.;)

the process. last march ali and i made these rainbow cupcakes. i knew then i wanted to make nori’s cake similar but try to ‘tye dye’ it. well i grossly

underestimated the amt of time we needed for prep, cooking, icing and clean up. i got ready for new years eve dinner in less than ten min. :-/ and still

the next day had a ton to do. it didn’t turn out as awesome as it did in my mind, but once she was into the cake it looked pretty sweet. i needed

to experiment more with swirling the colors because i thought i did a ton and yet it looks like i barely did at all. i had to use my electric knife to

shave off all the brown cooked part on the bottom to expose the colors. when i do it again, i’ll put the warm colors on bottom. oh well, it is what it is.

yum.

still came out decent for my first time and not being a baker and all. lol.

so the theme was “pajama jam” because on new years day, we always hang out in our pj’s. i didn’t want that to change. on the invite i insisted

people wear them or forever be labeled, “lame” by me.:)most wore them, but a few, still disappointed. whatever.;)

ali and i like making tutus. i made nori’s to match her pj’s and ali made mine. don’t be jealous.

two people who i swore wouldn’t dress up, DID, and they matched!!!!! hahahahahha. paco and adam’s dad. awesome in so many ways.

the main event. it went really well. we thought for sure she’d barely touch it. no sir. by the end it was even in her ears and hair!

(courtesy of aunt ali telling her to wash her hair with the icing)

adam shot and edited this video. so for all the people that were aggravated because he was blocking your view, aren’t you glad he was now that you’ve

seen this? ya. this will be super cool for her/us to watch years from now.:)good job honey. (push play then pause and let it load far into it before

you watch or you will get aggravated cause it keeps pausing.)

rach was the only other one that rocked out an adult onesie with me. nori is frowning because we took her cake away and were trying to clean her up.

on to her second outfit:)

i put adam on the “find her first doll committee.” he came back with a 4+yr old hard plastic doll. wasn’t really what i was thinking but it is very cool.

she hugged it as soon as she opened it. good job daddy. lets hope she doesn’t drop it while she’s walking and break her big toe. haha.

she got lots of good stuff. we are very blessed to have such loving and generous friends and family!we needed an updated ‘tracy girls and their girls’ photo. not too much longer and britt’s new baby will be here. i hope it’s a girl, cause a little boy

might get mad he can’t be in the pic.;)JK. at one point there were 9 people playing angry birds on their cellphones. don’t worry the party was over, it wasn’t that boring. haha. if you’ve

never played i recommend keeping it that way was because IT IS ADDICTING. clearly.

poppi doing what he does best, running around with the kids.

after a long day and no nap, she passed out around 1030pm. slept in til 11 the next day.:)

i wish our house is double the size and we could have invited everyone we wanted to. when she gets bigger we are going to have to rent out a place for

sure. it was fun though. i’m so glad we waited til after christmas because there is just way too much going on until new years day. and it was

an awesome way to end the holidays! not to mention adam took off the last couple weeks of the year so it was even more fun having him around to help!

hope your eyes don’t burn from the over saturation of color you just looked viewed!  ha! have a great weekend everyone.:)heart, melanie and adam

jenny haas - OMG! Matching aprons!! LOVE this, what a lucky little lady :)

Kate Kuhlmann - SO MUCH FUN!!

mr & mrs hacker!

lesson on the dbl windsor.

love those eyes molly!

their first sight. aaron was blown away with molly’s beauty. it was super cute.

gorgeous.

i kept telling her she looked like a snow queen. doesn’t she?

the boys were mischievous.:-Devery winter bride must have something warm for her shoulders and her feet.

my view.

adams view. definitely our favorite.

it was very cold, but with thoughts of warm beaches, we had a great time playing in the snow!

the best part of seeing each other before the ceremony…you’re super relaxed the whole way there!

this was our first time at the redmoor. it was really cool.

adam is clever.:-D

they collected old cameras for a year so they could have one for every centerpiece. how cool!!

this was our last wedding of twentyTen! it was a bunch of fun! while we were very excited for them, it was also the beginning of our break! winter is to

photographers, like summer is to teachers. except we’re still working, it’s just the time we catch up on all that stuff we’ve avoided all year, and less time

shooting. haha. we are so thankful to all of our clients from last year, everyone treated us so well. we are SO blessed to be so busy in this struggling economy.

we are very thankful for that! 2011 is going to be awesome in many ways. we can’t wait!:)

congrats molly and aaron! heart, melanie and adam.

brenda - all that snow is beautiful in these shots! clever on the ugg boots – how cozy.

eric. - great shoot. I’m a fan of the couch shot.

Becca - Hi, I love your site guys. Been following it for a couple months now:) Your shot is my favorite too. Love all those vintage cameras – what a great idea! Happy New Year to you!

Kate Kuhlmann - Love it! Molly you looked beautiful!!

Alisha - Molly, you look so beautiful!! I love how happy you and Aaron look.

Danielle - love the dancing shot. I think those pics are so cool. Also love the one with the entire bridal party outside and adam’s favorite too. Glad to see a bride get to use her wrap, not just pose with it. Althought I loved the weather on our day..haha.

JmA - LOVE the image of them with the snowflakes in the foregrond. Beautiful. They are all really great.

JmA - LOVE the image of the two with the snowflakes in the foreground. Beautiful pictures.

baby cameron is (finally) here!!

jess and cory are long time friends of ours. we shot their wedding a few years ago, and now we welcome them to parenthood! it’s been a long week

for all three of them. jess started having regular, timeable contractions starting on monday the 13th. this continued everyday, as close as 5 min apart

for HOURS, this whole last week. as any prego woman knows, sleep is a fantasy in the last weeks, much less if you’re a week ‘overdue’. she finally went

into labor on her own, avoiding her induction time by mere hours.  after quite a few hiccups, and toughing out some really good contractions when

her epidural stopped working at 8cm (talk about terrible timing!!), cameron was just having a really hard time finding his way out. the dr. decided

with his heart rate dropping, he wasn’t taking anymore risks. so after allllllll of that, she ended up in a stinkin’ csection anyway! because i was SO

proud of how brave, strong and positive she was through it all, i decided to give her a little christmas gift, some photos of their first precious moments

as a family! just the three of them.:)they’re in love. he couldn’t be anymore perfect. one of the first things she said to me, “it really was ALL worth it!”

cameron james stewart. 12/21/10 7:57pm 8.4lbs. 21 inches.

looks like cameron got daddy’s beard haircolor!

i’ve come to realize that i REALLY enjoy being at the hospital for & after deliveries. one of my favorite parts are those intimate moments

when the mom first nurses her baby. it just so beautiful. i can’t really explain it, but if you’ve witnessed it, then you completely understand.

it brings tears to my eyes every time. i just love it. i’m so glad daddy approved this pic bc it’s definitely my favorite!:)

we wanted him to wakeup for some open eyed pics. he was not having it.

definitely got his mamas lips! you could even see his lips on the ultrasound pics!! i’ve never seen such a thing!

fresh, swollen, little baby faces are the best.

too bad he’s not a girl! i’d stick a bow in that hair in about two seconds!:-D

i can’t even look this good on a daily basis, MUCH LESS running on like 20 hrs sleep for the whole week! beautiful mommy!!

what a happy little family. though it’s definitely not going to feel like christmas this year for you…it’s still going to be amazing.

happy holidays guys! you did awesome! he’s so handsome. we couldn’t  happy for you! much love to you, enjoy him CAUSE YOU’LL BLINK YOUR
EYES AND HE’S ONE!!!;)heart, melanie

Thanks again for everything you did to help me through this pregnancy! I seriously don’t know what I would have done without you. And as you said above, it was ALL worth it. I can’t imagine my life without him already :)
