nikki and marty.

We decided a few days prior when seeing the forecast of snow/sleet that we would carry on the session as planned braving the potential

elements. I mean, we live in the Midwest so a snow forecast could turn out 65/sunny!  The snow ended up being just perfect!

Love!

This makes me smile so much. Seems like a great depiction of their relationship!

What a beautiful picture of you, Nikki! And ps, Marty, I was able to work a little post process magic on the city for you.:)

Once it turned to sleet, it was a little less fun, so we went inside to their killer new loft in the city. Color me JEALOUS. If you know the

history behind “Loft 3″, then you know we used to live in a wicked cool space like this. The city has done a 180 in the last 7 years and that

lifestyle is a lot more inviting for a young couple like we once were. (Ha!)

Cement counter tops. SEX-Y!!

I had loads of fun with you two! Shooting with frozen digits is a lot more pleasant when the couple is so entertaining. I’m sure your wedding

is going to be just as enjoyable.:)Heart, Melanie.

nikki - Thank God I’m marrying such a good looking man!!! I can’t stop looking at them, I LOVE these!!! Thank you so much, we can’t stop smiling :)

Mom and Dan - They are awesome!!! We love you!

Kelly - Wow amazing as usually and LOVE LOVE the snow in the pictures!! Nikki you look gorgeous! Can’t wait till te wedding!!!

MelissaF - Such a great session! Her cute little hat and the snow…perfection!

Brenda - LOOOOOVE the snow! I second the hat comment :)

Chris and Melissa welcomed little miss Ruby a couple months ago. She’s the sweetest little thing who unfortunately I aggravated the

hell out of during this session. Poor thing wanted to sleep and as soon as she was soothed and asleep, I’d snap, then we’d interrupt

and move her. Repeat for 2 hours. I’m a total jerk to newborns which fortunately they tend to see past by my gushing over them getting

my babyfix between shots.

So pretty. No, Chris, the bow is NOT to big. The bow is never too big.

I want to eat those baby rollllls.

Moments like this are so simple and monotonous but you’ll cherish the memory of how teeny she was in this big crib because before you

know it, she will be holding the rails jumping up and down screaming like a banshee at 3am. Or maybe not. Maybe only my kids do that.

Baahahaha.

So fun to see you guys on cloud nine. You are doing so good even when you feel like you have absolutely no idea what you are doing. She’s

perfect and so is your little family of 3. Congrats and have fun watching her grow and do awesome things, like dropping poop sharks in

the bathtub…while you are also in it. Because kids are cool like that.:)Heart, Melanie.

JennyBZ - oh shes perfect.. her cheeks!! and that perfect chevron nursery! oh man.. love love love!

brenda - perfectly, chunkily delicious little one! ps again, i love that baby room – calming w polka dots and chevron. nice.

melissa - melanie – once again you perfectly capture a beautiful milestone for our family!! these photos will be cherished always! thank you thank you!!

taryn - such beautiful pictures melanie. congrats melissa, she is gorgeous!! love the one looking through the doorway of you guys on the bed! :)

Candice & Keegan

I think I met Candice when she waaaas 6? Then she was just the younger sister of a close friend of mine. But now her entire family is

very dear to me. You can see all of them in Adrienne and Matt’s wedding post a couple years ago.

It was either drizzling, cloudy or bright and sunny throughout the session. Make up your mind, Cincinnati.

Man I tell ya. It was like pulling teeth to get them to laugh this session. They were just SO serious!

When I’m shooting downtown, I can never ever assume the wetness on the pavement is just rainwater. So unless it’s dry, I don’t have my

clients sit. I however, laid on my belly to get the shot above. I’m fairly certain I wasn’t laying in rainwater by the smell left on my shirt.

Candice you have always been cute, but now you’ve grown into quite the beautiful lady.

Seems like you found the perfect guy for you. Around him you become Giggles McGee.

It worked out a little bit too perfect that I was shooting the future Mr. & Mrs. (Keegan) McCarthy during the St. Patricks Day parade.

The wedding is guaranteed to be a good time! Hopefully it’ll be quite a bit warmer than it was on your sister’s wedding day!!

Lookin forward to it, friends! Great job!! Heart, Melanie.

Dawn Broxterman - Love the pic with the reflection from the puddle…awesome!

Becki - I love them, of course!! Between the changes in weather, clothes and locations, i think you guys covered it all! I can’t wait for October! =)

Rachelle Wilson - These are beautiful!

Stephanie Lyell - Love that purple wall, and the red branches of whatever kind of plant that was! Cool find. Also, your comment about laying in the water made me laugh :)

Julie McCarthy - I love your photos! They have definitely captured the love you have for each other. They are beautiful!

Kelly - Love all the variety from this session!! Super cute couple and some killer shots :)

Kelley - I love umbrellas! Love the b/w shot with the water and umbrella! You captured their personalities perfectly- in pictures- Awesome!
Thanks Mel

Candice - And this is the reason that the first thing I booked once I got engaged was loft3pd! :)

Thanks for making us look better than the complete nerds we actually are! :P
