we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day!

izzy is very attached to mommy. she’s always prancing just behind emily’s heels, if she’s not being held, of course!

mike is goofy.

at first when i got this shot i was like, “yes!! i caught the sweet little moment of him wiping her tears!” but then he did it again. and again.

and again. haha. he was so on it all day! good job mike!emily’s dad was incredibly sweet and so sensitive about marrying off his daughter. holy cow, you are gorgeous.(insert whistle sound here)the reception was at the omni shore house which is just off the beach. so we escaped for portraits while the sun was setting. perfection. this shot is the reason for ohioans have a destination wedding!! so yesterday i was in desperate need of a smile. this image made me laugh so stinkin’ hard i was snorting. mike requested a jumping shot

and i’m so so glad because this rocks. LOOK AT EACH FACE. i LOOOOOVE it. hilarious. his bro to his right is my fav. “cannonballlll” talk about sexy single ladies!! no seriously…stop being so pretty.even though i was sad the sun sets on the opposite side of the island, we were still able to catch the perfect light! yum!!sisters are the best. the cunningham’s were sure blessed with two beautiful girls!FLASHMOB!!

i hope you have a fab time in hawaii in july! i’m sure it’ll be amazing! i’m so happy it worked out for us to stay in hilton head and shoot for

you guys. impeccable timing. it was such a fun wedding with super happy people. couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our week!

team klems: HHI.

bk5 joined us on our buisness/vaca trip last week (more on that in another post). picture timing was perfect since mia turned ONE wednesday,

anna just turned 3 and ella is 5 in a mth and a half.

it rained at least half of every day we were there. waa waa. the forecast on wednesday was showing 70% storms the rest of the trip. in a

hurry, we ran out this day to shoot before the rain started. well, it started as we were walking to the beach. LAME. with my desire to make it

happen anyway, we dealt with it. it eventually stopped long enough to finish the session, however it left us with this incredibly flat light. i

had visions of beautiful backlighting and sunflares. maybe next time.

because it was raining with the potential to storm, i threw my cam down (terrible idea, got sand in the lens and had some real issues later that week.

sigh.) and let adam shoot this. between britt running in and out of frame to pull hair out of eyes, dresses down, stand mia back up, and me acting like a

spaz…he got a shot. a good one! i also, in my spastic running backwards/ jumping/singing effort to make the girls laugh, jumped right onto a pvc

pipe. the arch of my foot landed on the open, jagged cut pipe which was pretty much hiding in the middle of the sand. who.the.hell. thought that

was a good idea? i was afraid to look at the damage because from the bloody sand and the searing pain, i was nervous about stitches just days before

shooting the second wedding. thankfully afterwards, with the gentle touch of brittany cleaning the sand out, (and multiple kids blowing/spitting

on the wound to soothe the burn) the flap was able to stay closed with a bandaid. but seriously, being crazy was worth it, look at this image!!

this was all the kids first time to the ocean. (minus the half hr ali, nori and i spent there last winter) they didn’t know what to think of it

really. ella loved it right away and monkey see, monkey do anna eventually liked it. the other 4 kids were not pleased.

anytime you need kids to lighten up, RUN with them. anna banana. love her.it’s no secret that anna is clumsy. like, never watches where she’s going and is constantly falling, clumsy. i absolutely love that in these frames,

she looks so graceful. a little ballerina, actually. love it.ella mozzarella is a ham. again, no secret. i was being goofy and posing while shooting. she was totally into it. clearly.oh mia tortilla, you are hilarious. perfect. i love it. britt, you look gorgeous.
