the holidays are coming!

a few weekends ago my whole family went to minges farm in harrison, OH to kick off the holiday seasons. the forecast said high 50′s

and windy, so we prepared for fall weather when actually it was a beautiful HOT day. so we were overdressed and sweaty. and i have a

big pregnant belly, sooo i was cranky and uncomfortable. oh and there was about 10, 435 people there.  it would have probably been a

lot more fun if those variables were all different. but then again adam swore he will never go back either. lol.

aunt erin and her whole family was there too so we got to see paxton for a little bit.

ella actually took this picture of nanaw. the camera was sitting there on its side. she just starting pressing the shutter and this

happened! i kinda love it.

it’s impossible for poppi to hold one kid at a time. at least one other granddaughter is always jealous and demands his open arm.  he was

running around bouncing them all over which obviously resulted in an insane amount of giggles.

olivia started walking within the last couple weeks which means the damage they do when together, just doubled. rut roh.

where there are funnel cakes, there will be our family. it was my bright idea to sit on this hay…in the direct wind path. d’oh. the picture

really doesn’t do it justice, we were covered in powdered sugar. notice poppi’s hand stealing off my plate when i’m not lookin’!!

he can’t resist…ever.

we are very excited for halloween, because us tracy’s love to dress up. :) nori’s costume is homemade (by my friend)

and ridiculously cute. i can’t wait to show her off.

ali just finished her 3rd round of chemo wednesday but had to stay in all day in order to received blood,

magnesium, etc.  apparently her system was WIPED out! but she’s home and hopefully well enough to attend the nursing

home trick or treating this weekend, pumpkin carving, halloween at the library and halloween night! fun! fun!!!

hannah.

i met hannah and her (hilarious) mom for the first time on this day. a few different people that referred hannah to me bragged about how cute and sweet

she was. they were exactly right. she just kept saying, “just tell me what to do and i’ll do it.” love her!

i’m pretty sure her mom was doing some sweet dance moves or something to get her to laugh. thanks, it worked perfect! :) gorgeous.

after awhile hannah hopped in my car and the two of us made a few illegal stops on private property.  :)

hardly ever do people come ask us what we are doing on their property, but when they do it’s quite comical to me.  he was embarrassed by

the chipping paint, but i told him it was perfect. people always feel so honored that someone wants to use their yard for pictures,

especially since in most cases it’s run down and they can’t see any beauty in it.

if any single thing in this image were to be different it would totally ruin it for me. i love everything about it.

thanks for hanging out with me, you did a great job.  good luck with your future!

heart, melanie.

mr. & mrs. schweitzer!

this is maggie who my family so lovingly has called ‘maggot’ for the last 22 yrs. we’ve done a lot together over the years from intense

soccer year round, to teammates in every other sport, to sleep overs and ghost in the graveyard, to coaching soccer together  for 5 yrs, to

watching each other get married off.  even though i was working, it was so much fun to be in the middle of all the action on her big day!

maggie introduced kyle to me and our soccer girls at an out of town tournament. the fact this guy was willing to stay a few days with a

bunch of loud mischievous teenage girls, we knew he was a keeper. he’s the sweetest guy ever and i love that they found each other.

baaahahhaa!

i’m very impressed how well adam controlled the light here because the bridge was in 100% direct sun while we were there. i wasn’t there

to witness but thanks boys for listening to all the subtle adjustments i’m sure it took to keep your faces lit correctly! :)

beautiful.

you guys are adorable.

this is riley, maggie’s brother’s daughter. all day long the only way i could get here to smile was to play a very dramatic game of peek-a-boo.

but it worked every time! she’s so stinkin’ cute!!

i love the way he’s looking at maggie and she doesn’t even know it. precious.

this is uncle ned. maggie and her whole family have a very special relationship with him. he has always called me “melaME,” and even still after not

seeing him for a few yrs, blurted it right out at the rehearsal! he is so sweet and just lights up the room. on the left he is SO PROUD of himself because

they chose him to carry up the gifts. he felt like a million bucks once his “special job” was completed. ned has now outlived his parents and is in a

group home. maggie picks him up every single thursday and takes him to skyline. i absolutely love that she never misses a week and cherishes every

moment.

of course my family was invited so we got the pleasure of seeing nori the second half of the day. :) you see the familiar face on the left?

that’s rachel! she’s doing amazing by the way. feeling great and obviously looking good. on the right adam always does this to nori.

she thinks she’s so cool up there posing.

the day was as beautiful as was the bride. the two lovebirds should be getting home soon from their TWO week honeymoon in europe!

i hope you guys had a blast! love you long time.

heart, mel and adam.
