mr. & mrs. nash!

undefinedreading each other’s love letters. awww.undefinedundefinedundefineddanielle bought all the girls robes. i just love that idea, makes the preparing pics so much better!undefined

i absolutely HATE my profile, as most women do. yours is GORGEOUS!!!

parking garages aren’t only good to get out of the rain…the light is great too :) undefinedwill you guys ever get tired of me bragging about katie elfers floral design?undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedi’ve been to st. williams a billion times. i never ever knew about their chapel! with less than 40 people in attendance it was perfect for them.

this is fr. george. a special thanks to him for celebrating a private mass with my immediate family each sunday/monday for my sister, ali.  he rocks.

undefinedundefined the great thing about small weddings… the details!!

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedthe reception was at the wiedemann hill mansion in newport.
undefinedthe entire upstairs is like an inn. we goofed around a little taking portraits in some of the rooms. :-D undefinedundefined undefined only took a few tries to perfect the shapes of the numbers. i kept critiquing the poor guy making the ’8′, but now look how amazing it looks dude!!

i can’t stop looking at the perfection of it! ;) well done wedding party!!undefinedwhat a nice relaxing wedding. though the first look was in the rain, it ended up being great the rest of the day. thanks for including us and most importantly

trusting us with the wetness outside. :) congrats! heart, melanie and adam.

norah jane & emma rose.

these little beauties broke me in for my first newborn twin session. and not only was it my first, i shot solo, which made things at least ten times harder.

thankfully jackie’s mom and mother in law were there to help us, which actually just made them all my assistants. :) add that to your resume grandmas!

also, we couldn’t do my newborn keep the baby warm trick for a few hours that day because the power went out in a storm. i did the entire session in

about 3 ft of space in front of her kitchen sliding doors because it was so dark out from the weather, that was my only light source. but we

had to laugh through the entire session because how could you not when everyone there was peed or pooped on at least twice. i literally caught both

in my hand to prevent them from soiling the blankets. thank goodness i’m a mom! ;) anywho, the girl’s mom was in MSJ’s art dept with adam and i years

ago. she’s a loft(3) super fan, and i LOVE her for that. when i found out she was expecting twins, i had to figure out a way to work her in my schedule. it

was supposed to be a mini session that ended up being double the length of a normal sesh, because as you will see in the outtakes, twins AIN’T

EASY y’all!! as you’ll notice, the background doesn’t change much. i found out real quick, once they are content, do NOT move them!!

emma.  4 lbs 14 oz. at birth, now 7 lbs, 3 oz! <–> norah. 5 lbs 15oz. at birth, now 7 lbs 10 oz!

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedbaby feet are delectable. FOUR of them, gaahhh!!!undefineddid you practice yoga while pregnant? nice mudra emma. ;) undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinednorah has a question. don’t worry, em has the answer! these frames were seconds apart. hilarious, right?undefinedundefinedi can’t imagine the delight of seeing these two faces all day. God has truly blessed you guys!undefinedthey got all kinds of tangled. love it.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

adam is an identical twin, you know this. i’ve always given props to his parents and any others who have multiples. i think this was my first experience with twins

so little for a long period of time. they were just over 3 weeks. this moment below, don’t let it fool you. it lasted the click of the shutter. in fact, norah was actually just

blinking. jackie’s sleep is broken. not like a typical newborn schedule, like ummm 30 min periods of shut eye. boom, one’s awake. just as shes soothing her, boom, the

other’s awake and screaming louder. all. night. long. all. day. long. how do you do it? she’s so very blessed the grandmas can help daily, otherwise, one of those babies

might get tossed out the window. oh wait, that would just be my reaction on 3 wks of 3hrs of sleep a day. not to mention the mths of sleepless prego nights! her husband

works fulltime and i’m sure does his best to help when he’s home. YOU ARE AMAZING jackie. super mom. and through this hectic schedule, she’s pumping. WOW. good

for you mama. pumping is a whole other 30 min task on it’s own. oh annnnnd, she’s still nice! and beautiful!  her house was even clean, she was showered

and patient through the whole session’st chaos. crazy. i tried to make her go sleep but she didn’t want to miss it. i don’t blame her, it was a site to see. so cute.

any time i think about complaining with the new baby, i’m going to pull up this post and remind myself, one baby is a flippin’ cinch y’all! undefinedyou gorgeous jackie. undefinedtwo baby lips to kiss g’mornin and g’night and everywhere in between!undefinedundefinedundefinedi had to save the best for last. norah smiled for me multiple times. have you ever seen a 3 week old smile like this?? she wasn’t even pooping!!undefined

here are just a few of the outtakes. they were so funny i couldn’t delete and i just had to post them.

this is probably what it looked like in the womb. (felt like too huh jackie?)  sucker punch..oooooo!

jackie says this is her life in a nutshell. lol.

well mama, i’m so glad we got to hang out. these two are so stinkin’ adorable, i can’t handle it. watching you love on them so calmly and patiently is so admirable.

i’d imagine times will be getting way easier really soon here for you. in the meantime, keep it up. you are doing so great! before you know it, they are going to be

running around telling you “NO!” and throwing things at you. (my current situation haha) i can’t wait to watch them grow over the yrs! congrats. now go hide in your

closet the whole weekend and sleep! ;) heart, melanie.

ps. even after hearing all about the chaos of twins, adam still desperately wants his own twins. good luck with that honey.

erin mac.

erin is one of rachel’s good friends. we met the day i took pics of her and her close friends last summer. wow, it’s almost been a year? undefinedundefinedundefinedshe immediately understood how to move in the poses. she’s a big fan of america’s next top model. it’s obvious. thanks tyra for making my job easy! ha!undefinedundefinedwhat does she call it? FIERCE! ;) undefinedhello blue eyes! undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedthose eyes!! undefinedundefinedundefinedway. to. work. IT!!!undefinedundefinedundefinedi decided to finish the sesh by having a little fun. :) undefinedundefinedwhile adam was gone to cali kicking butt in the world famous mudrun, i slammed my schedule with sessions. it sounded like a good idea at the time, but

i’m still trying to claw my way out from under my toDo list. thankfully shooting and processiong senior and baby sessions is a lot of fun! :) something just

doesn’t sound right about the phrasing of that last sentence. lol. anywho. thanks for hanging out with me mac! you did a fantabulous job, hope

you love them! you should just go ahead and send some to tyra. ;) you’re gorgeous dahling! heart, melanie.
