sadie.

sadie is another one of my soccer gals. we spent a cold, rainy day having fun driving allll over town, searching for any

glimpse of sun, warmth and dryness. we never found that. we did, however, have a lot of fun chatting and catching up!

dramatic and beautiful.

it was pouring down rain. if you look closely, you can see it on the left. you’re a trooper, girl!

you’re so stinkin’ cute.

:P

for like ONE second i was thankful for that rain. the reflections makes the image way cooler.

turns out, twirling an umbrella is much easier when you can actually feel your hands!

my girls  are all juniors now (gasp) and you know what that means! they’re all hitting me up for their senior pics. it’s so funny to

think back on when i first met them, all young and innocent. oy vey, now their all LADIES, (mostly ahheemm) mature, with boyfriends

and cars and talking about college! oh brother!. ;) it’s been so fun watching them grow up and playing a ‘mom’ role in their life except,

i’m not as scary to talk to and i can’t punish them. lol. you’ll be seeing a few more of their faces as the year progresses. with each girl i’ll

share a favorite memory of them. :) you’re welcome girls.

i just happen to have a pic from my favorite moment with sadie:

running and sliding headfirst into a puddle of mud during soccer practice. :) just because it seemed like a fun thing to do. sadie is on the left.

alyssa above me.  rachel, who you all know, to my right. and maggie, longtime friend and the other coach, who you will see on here in

october when she gets married! :)

love you guuuurl. heart, melanie

POWERHOUSE FACTORIES.

below is my oh so creative, graphic designer bro in law, ben. he and his buddy, pat, co-own powerhouse factories.

their business has blown up over the last couple years and become so successful they now have a team working for them. ben

asked me to come shoot their newest merchandise and update the studio shots since it’s changed so much since the last time.

this place ooooozes creativity. you become inspired just by stepping through the front doors. adam and i are constantly sayin, “dayummmm we wish

we worked in a place like this every day!!!” it’s every artists dream, really.

they are hired by local venues to promote bands coming in town by designing and screenprinting badass rock posters. anyone can buy their posters off their

website though. we have 7 or 8 posters hanging in our house and i couldn’t tell you the first thing about any of the bands. but they’re pretty, and i like

them. :) most of my family and close friends have PHF posters hanging in their house too. and so should YOU. it’s hip and totally the cool thing to do.

they also screen print tshirts. this is where we slaved over our Loft(3) tshirts, which by the way are still for sale!

my favorite part of PHF is this little gem right here. when they signed the lease a few yrs back, our family helped paint and get them settled. i was

given the project of the ‘test print wall.’ i spent a few days cutting up, getting VERY sticky from glue, hanging posters high atop a 20′ ladder. they

said to do whatever i want and have fun. soooo i did. BOOM. our next house will have a test print wall.

the creative team.

:) you’re welcome, matt.

besides the posters, our family is constantly rocking out powerhouse clothing. i am NOT EXAGGERATING when i say, ben, adam, and ben’s

sister sarah, wear their hoodies DAILY in the winter. it’s so bad that it’s like a uniform they aren’t allowed to take off. but i will say, they are the most

comfortable hoodies i have ever worn, so i kind of don’t blame them. i’m thankful there is finally a new option in color!!! they also have cool tshirts!

phf also has holiday parties to come hang out and buy merchandise at as well. the place is in newport, ky and is always welcome to walk ins.

drop in and buy a poster or some clothing, or just be inspired! heart, melanie

cincinnati’s cutest couple!

karianne asked me last week if i wanted to submit our kids into cincy’s cutest couple contest. since we obviously both believe our kids are

the cutest, duh, i thought why not? here is liam and nori who are like 7 weeks apart, both a year old. we went to the park and had a little fun.

the funny part was watching sean, karianne and myself jump around singing like idiots trying to get the kids laugh. both of these kids who

normally require NO effort at all to make smile. ughhhhh. why wouldn’t they refuse to smile this day? the shot still turned out super precious,

it was just hilarious to me how UNAMUSED they were with our antics. so we are asking for your vote, PLEASE, to win the contest.

today, sunday feb 20th is the last day to vote. click the image and it should take you to KISS 107′s website to login and vote. thank

you thank you thank you! :) heart, the little lovebirds, liam and nori.

ps. liam was over wednesday night. nori kissed him at least three times. and all three times she maneuvered him to get to his lips. bahahha!
