olivia: 1 week.

this girl LOVES to be swaddled.

some babies, certainly not ALL babies, are cute when they cry. thankfully she is one of them:)

a little cuddle time with daddy.

she just got done peeing, pooping AND puking on her changing pad. :) she looks so proud.

since my sister is more crafty than martha stewart, she’s painted and decorated baskets for every room in the house. i stole this out of the bathroom.

nice and comfy :) yes, her bow was changed that frequently. i told ya, my mom, ali and i all have a healthy obsession with bows. i don’t know when

brittany fell off the wagon. maybe she was traumatized from my mom taping them to our heads from our lack of hair as babies.

little break for some boob juice.

as ali’s sister in law, lindsey, was watching…she channeled her inner martha and crafted this tutu out of one of ali’s fabric/ribbon/frilly crap boxes.

quite impressive. olivia is going to have to get used to dressing up bc, that’s just what we like to do around here. ;)

equally impressive was the bow lindsey whipped up! this is my fav.

hahaha.  1. this is ali’s hospital pic on the left. 2. i couldn’t find the right angle of olivia to compare, this was the closest, flipped vertical.

C. doesn’t it look like olivia is trying to read her name? 4. crazy how much they look alike? they were both actually 7.9lbs at birth as well!

while adam trained for his upcoming triathlon, i spent the day with my god daughter. little olivia is just the cutest little thing. ali and ben have

adjusted great and all is well! hopefully the little monkeybutt will keep her hair, because ali sure is enjoying those bows! :) love you guys.

supporting rachel.

this was this weeks “tuesday with rachel”. she wasn’t supposed to still be in the hospital. she was SUPPOSED to receive chemo fri-sun and go home

by monday. well as most of us know by now, her body does it’s own thing. in fact, the doc’s told her each different procedure, the worst has actually

happened to her…so they know she can handle it all! crazy though, really. so friday she started her second round of chemo. well, whaddya know,

she spikes a fever and her body is covered in a rash. then to make matters worse, they found TWO blood clots in her lungs!! AGH! just like the last

two times she was in, she had to stay 3 extra days. today is her out patient chemo day. as always, please pray for her. this time WILL GO SMOOTHLY!!

her friend carrie’s mom stitched this quilt. it’s made up of individually drawn squares from her junior class + a few others.  HOW COOL!!!!!

yesterday is when it became a reality to me how much support she has behind her. though i knew i placed an order 650 (holy cow!!) ‘team rachel’

tshirts, it didn’t sink in til i saw it with my own eyes. this is mother of mercy high school, where she attends. anyone who bought a shirt was

allowed to wear it yesterday. i asked the school if i could go capture it for rachel. talk about overwhelming!! as i watched the girls flood out of the

building, i didn’t think the purple would ever stop! goosebumps. this is just SO cool, rach. SO COOL!

this is her grade school. st jude. i headed there after mercy. i didn’t sell youth sizes, so not as many kids here bought them, but their parents did!

last night was the night we have all been so excited for. my parent admin for my soccer team and i started a team for the light the night leukemia

and lymphoma society. we hoped to have our soccer girls and their friends walk. well….that quickly blew up to inviting anyone and everyone

that knows rach. we were one of, if not, the biggest group there. we raised the 3rd highest ammount in donations! $7500! wow!!! the ribbon

color is purple, hence our shirt color. i had to get creative with nori’s outfit. :)

y’all know by now…this is her slogan. :)

because i had two catholic schools backing me in the tshirts, i couldn’t exactly put a curse word on them! so i got out some white acrylic and

added some words to hers to make it special for her. :) don’t be mad at me. :-O haha.

a ton of her family came. not just the immediate, we had grandmas, aunts, cousins…!

some of my ‘freedom’ soccer team girls came. they of course love rachel.  it’s also impossible for us to take more than one serious pic. :) love these girls.

this is amy. she’s been my partner in crime the past two weeks of CHAOS. :) there were a few times we said, “LORD I HOPE RACHEL KNOWS

HOW MUCH WE LOVE HER!!! AGHHH!!” just in the last 4 days, i’m pretty sure she was in and out of my house 10 times. about 4 hours of phone

calls and no less than 200 texts back and forth. who knew how much was involved in selling tshirts!? but dang. it was SO worth it. SO incredible.

seeing this group represent our girl…totally worth it. 250 registered walkers. there must have been 300 though. i know i brought 10 alone who weren’t

registered. all the tent workers treated us like we were important. “ohhh, you’re with team rachel? here, have two shirts. here, have another hotdog!…”

again, i think i fell asleep smiling last night. it’s moments like these that really help restore your faith in humanity. the glanklers must have really

felt THAT love last night. i’m so thankful they all came out. THANK YOU TEAM RACHEL!

before the walk, there was some jazzercise to warm us up. ha!

nori and adam had a good time too. :)

the balloons had a light inside. they were pretty cool.

some girls made signs for rachel’s wheelchair. are we surprised she refused to ride in it? NO! lol. so they wore them instead.

i was so happy to be a part of the awesomeness last night. i mean for real people…i was hoping to get a group of 25 people. i would have never thought

it would blow up to this! because the shirts were such a hit, i have decided to place a second order. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ORDER A TEAM

RACHEL SHIRT, PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO TEAMRACHELGLANKLER@GMAIL.COM. I NEED YOUR NAME AND SIZE(S). ORDERS DUE

BY FRIDAY OCTOBER 1ST. make checks payable to ‘team rachel.’ a percentage of every tshirt goes directly towards their medical bills.

we will have another pickup night at one of the schools. or if you are just feeling generous, you can always send a donation check to my house.

email pace@loft3pd.com for my house address. much love to all supporters! thank you thank you thank you!! heart, melanie

in our free time…

you see, i bought adam this bike trailer last year for his bike. then this year i bought him a bike rack. well, he insisted on getting me a bike so i could join

them at the park. turns out we dont have that much free time, so i gave myself my bday off, and we went to play!

i love her little face peeking out. so cute. oh, and adam through his back out at the “Cheetah Run,” so he didn’t even ride. geeze.

i love you. she was 8.5mths in these.

she LOVES lilo. lilo….welll…nori isn’t her favorite. ha.

being a mommy is just so much fun!

how did her face get so perfect??AGH! she’s so damn cute, i cant handle it.

maybe the flower was too big. :) we went back to her bow. ps. i got all my bows at ‘once upon a child’ on crookshank rd on the westside,

for those of you whose baby girls are lacking in the bow dept. ;) they’re only a couple bucks!!

the next few pics arent anything special, i just had to share cause they’re funny!  one night a few weeks ago, eric had pax in just his daiper. i realized that

he’s in the same size diaper as nori, so i was curious side by side how close in size they are. so i got her naked and we went outside to compare!

paxMan was a week shy of 3mths and noriGirl was 8mths 1wk. crazy isn’t it? they’re about a lb diff i think? nori still has him in length.

eric put his head on her. awwww cute….

til your cousin puts you in the arm bar!! hahahaha!

she always has to touch him. she lights up when she sees him. it’s so cute.

i did nothing to their eyes, i swear. ROCK ON nori! :)

just thought you’d like to see some pretty babies to brighten your day! happy hump day! heart, melanie
