lynzie & brandon. (and a wittle pixie)

so when we scheduled this shoot months ago, we should have prepared for rain. at 11pm the night before i called brandon and said, dude, not looking good, let’s just do photobooth for now.

10am (an hour before shoot) it’s raining. we decide, see what happens…play it by ear. they show up and it’s still drizzling. we hang out in the studio and take some hilarious shots of the lovebirds with

their little snugglebug, PIXIE!!

it’s so nice when you meet a couple who is obsessed with their dog like we are:) they adore her.  i love this picture. haven’t you ever been curious if you could fit your

dog’s head in your mouth? LOLOLOL. brandon, you crack me up.

so we met lynzie at the mount. she was in graphix with adam. then a few years ago when i started teaching, ironically brandon was the ONE male on the staff of 20 women!! he eventually

was my aide and i can’t tell you the amazingly awesome time we had together. while he didn’t dress up with me (BOOO), he did act completely goofy with the kids. parents STILL comment

today to me how their kids always talk about when they were in miss melanie’s and mr brandon’s homeroom! i love that.

love it.

thankfully the rain cleared up and we sprint downtown!!

adam’s Fav.

hot. love the colors. melanie’s fav.

right about now a cop started circling around as i’m parked in a “tow away & will be prosecuted zone.” HAHA. you have to take risks man to get a good shot!

i asked brandon to stand on the hydrent for a shot. he says, only if i can jump off! ha.

showing us there best B-boy/B-girl pose.

what you know about SPACE PICKLE ? (the astronaut had a caption bubble stating that??)

oops. i have another favorite! :-D

you can just tell how much he loves her. adorable.

woo woo. i’m willing to bet i met someone who has a cooler shoe collection than me. what size do you wear? i might be calling you. haha.

you’d think this is their hundreth time in front of the camera. love it.

can you even begin to imagine how gorgeous she is going to be on their wedding day?!?! and she does her own makeup. so jealous.

you guys are amazing.

it started to rain again. we headed to a parking garage. so adam was doing all this testing with a flash and i’m holding two cameras, a pocket wizard and a off camera flash. while adam was checking

his settings i was wondering what i could get. so i said, ‘hey.’ they looked and bam, i got this?! im glad i was curious and able to balance all the junk to snap this!

dang. go eat a sandwich. lol.

work it. wooork it.

by this time we had been with them from about 11am til 4pm. hahaha. they were enjoying themselves and so were we, so we just kept going…and going…and…

so they get married the weekend we celebrate our two year anniversary! what better way to spend it! their wedding is going to be off the hook at the 20th century theatre in oakley.

they are both artists as well, so guys, i’m counting on you to blow our socks off. i CAN’T WAIT!!! every detail is going to be perfect. i’m even excited to see lynzie’s shoes. :-D

love you guys. heart, mel and adam.

things that have been happening in my classroom. :)

after the full color wheel i teach neutrals. what up black day? i love the child dressed in black morphing into my leg. HA.

this was a really exciting time for me. as an artist, it is SO cool to be in any art show, much less downtown!  well, over a month or so, i worked one on one (2-3hrs) with each of my 50 kindergarteners to

create a “habitat.”  The Cincinnati Arts Assoc. held an exhibit where TEN of my students works were selected to hang in the Aronoff!  how flippin cool. i was a very proud art teacher that day.

i wish all the kids were there at one time, that would have been a fantastic image for my memories.

then there was preschool prom.  here, i was posing with mr. hotstuff Quinn. the next best thing to a tux? A TUXEDO SHIRT! i love that barry and jess (parents) have great humor. and don’t be mad, i’m only

borrowing your dress. i’ll give it back! (that applies to any girl over the age of 30 HA)

yay! we completed the color wheel! you can’t see it, but my wig is actually streaks of rainbow hair. and i love that angie is wearing one of the first pairs of pants i ever sewed.

freshman year in hs, i think? karen, you’re lookin hot as always! :)

i was sad that my color wheel was complete and that i have no more dress up days (besides every (FUN)friday haha) to look forward to. this was a first, POLKA DOT DAY!!

if you look behind me, you can see a smidge of my warhol soup can project. i had every child and every staff member color an can. lined em up, glued em on and BAM! we made sweet poster.

*as always, i apologize for the quality of the images. i know this is a professional site, and im posting my point and shoot images!! hehe. too many people ask to see my craziness, so who

cares. enjoy. :)

one of my little prodigies, alyssa and her boooooyfriend ;) (love you lys!) went to prom a little bit ago. since i’m the closest thing to a big sister to her, i had the pleasure of doing her makeup!

i can’t believe my soccergirls are freshman!!

isn’t she BEAUTIFUL. turns out..when you put a dress and makeup on a tomboy- they are pretty HOT! i so remember the days where i only wanted to wear soccer shorts and my hair in a ponytail. i

wouldn’t have been caught dead in anything girlie or heaven forbid PINK!! lol.

i’m pretty sure alyssa’s experience was a lot like my first time all fancied up. all the boys were like, “who are you, and what did you do with melanie?”

we have some sweet stuff to post coming up here really soon. AND this weekend i’m in a wedding in indy (woo woo barb and zac!) and shooting liz and tyler on sunday! then

next week i get to play MOH and photographer in a pink pleated dress as we shoot my sister’s wedding! i hear them now..”wait, so the matron of honor is ALSO the photographer? crazy! “

molly.

meet molly.

this was her first session…september 14th. remember that day? on the way downtown we found it odd how trees were literally in the street. shingles flying everywhere…but of coarse we said,

this is like the twillight zone, but it’ll stop, lets go anyway! lol. we’re really smart.

her hair spent most the time in her face… and all the dirt and glass on the ground around her was in our eyes, mouth, and whipping against our legs. so we headed to an alley where it wasn’t as open and little tornados wouldn’t form. wellll…

we took like 3 shots in the alley and something told me we should move. got like 10 feet away and heard the loudest crash. apparently it was the roof seperating from the building!! under the rumble is a picnic table. thats where molly was sitting

about a minute before this happened. thank you guardian angels.  and by the way, you’d think we’d book it…no we ventured around and snapped some more pics. iddddiots!!! when we got home, the news team reported in front of this alley, because

at the time, it was one of the most dramatic things that happened. a couple hours later was when a massive tree decided to take residence in our friend’s bedroom. (they still aren’t moved back in. still rehabbing the damage!!)

so we rescheduled. :)

adam’s favorite.

what’s up hotness? ;-)

molly thought she struggled making the ‘no smile face’ because if you know molly, all she does IS SMILE!! i think she did great.

i was a little concerned her senior portraits became hollister ads. :)

giiiirl, did i hurt when you feel from heaven? (hehehe)

the swings to the left of her were being used by a young couple. the guy was like a wanna be dane cook. so he got her to laugh pretty hard. BUT, it was a little uncomfortable.

i dont think he even took a breathe between his one liners.

molly is the baby in her family of 7. sorry mare-bear, not so baby anymore :-/

adam and eric (his twin) have been like the adair children number 6 & 7 for almost 15yrs.  anna and molly have always seen them as big bro’s.  they are a great family and it’s been a privelage to

get to know them the past 6+ yrs. cheers to mike and mary for raising a beautiful bunch of kids.
