the brincks.

***caution: you are about to see a lot of my teeny tiny nakie hiney! permission fully granted by mommy. :) ***

hi, my name is luke and i’m so dang cute, i will have you wrapped around my little finger in 5 minutes.

adam’s favorite. (adam is the master of the macro lens, in case you didn’t know.)

ridiculous.

i’m mobile, and i’m not stopping til naptime! catch me if you can!! :)

don’t you just want to pinch it?

such a little peanut.

it’s amazing the joy a child brings in your into life.

i have never seen so many binkies in one crib. i’m pretty sure there were at least 5.

this happens at some point during every baby shoot. cracks me up.

ready to pounce. lol.

have you ever met a 9 mth old that will sit and listen to a book cover to cover, OVER AND OVER again? he loved it!

hehehe….

melanie’s favorite.

i hope maggie and tony are able to give all their future children as much love as they give luke! they adore him!

we were packed up and 10 steps from the car when luke starts craaackin up! adam hurried up and unpacked to get this. so cute!

annnnnd my favorite part of the whole day. what always happens when you remove a diaper?! it never fails… look close. HAHAHA!! the

best part was that we had no idea it was going on. we were rapid firing because he was shakin it…then we were like wait a minute, what’s that sound?

OMG HE’S PEEEEEING!! quickly we reviewed and HA we got it! each image is hysterical, you totally can read his thoughts. LOVE IT!

we love kids! if you had a nickel for every time i said that, you’d be a millionaire. the brincks are like this perfect little family.  maggie used to teach, but she she’s blessed enough to

now be a fulltime mom! so awesome. the cool thing about tony was that he was so chill, like this is his 5th kid. annnnd there were definitely comments made about

planning for baby #2, and we can’t wait!! GOOD LUCK! i know the next is going to be as perfect as the first. :) you guys rock. heart, mel and adam.

my friday!

at the beginning of the year we made ‘painting suits’. on the left is Grace, my aide Karen’s daughter. and remember Delaney and her mom ?

unfortunately my little point and shoot cant pick up the detail of all the tiny paint dots ALL OVER THEM!!!

technicolored hair was quite the norm the past two days!

these kids are 3…and boy did they enjoy winding up and hurling that paint!!  i was proud of the mess we created! again, i look WAY cleaner that i actually was.

guesssssss who we are studying now?!? you guessed it! Jackson Pollock. it’s been quite an adventure the past two days. the mess behind me was just one day.  we did that much

yesterday and i spent all my time between parent conferences last night til 9pm cutting it down for their portfolios. today’s work is going to be hung in the hallways on display!  you have

to be wondering, OMG what did the parents say when their kids came home with paint EVERYWHERE?! well, because it’s not everyday a kid can break every rule in the art room like this, i warned the

parents with a note home. told them be prepared(!) and send your child in old clothes….and i’m not responsible..lol.  a big thanks to a few of my moms who graciously spent time with us, wiping down

walls, floors AND children!  you only live once…and shoot, they’re kids- let them get messy, right?! they loved it. so did i. and i’m going to sleep VERY well tonight. HA!

——————————-

so adam gets home from work…worn out and tired from his long annoying and stressful day.  instead of reacting like a normal person does after a sucky day, he decides to be slap happy. my sister Ali bought an exercise ball and it took the two of them to get it blown up.  adam being a boy and wanting to act a fool INSIDE THE HOUSE, decides to test the strength of the ball. something else you need to know about adam- he will try ANYTHING if there is a video camera present. (he proved that in college when he stuck is tongue to a frozen railing! DER?!) anyway, watch and enjoy how we are a self entertaining bunch. the best part is the scream ali lets out at the very end. HA.

box of chocolates.

he jammed out.

always thought the upright bass was pretty cool.

patty had these ‘bags of fun’ where every few songs she’d pull out a completely different instrument!! maybe because i’m severely musically challenged, and i

dont get how they do it AT ALL…i think it’s a pretty big deal that one person can play like 10 diff things!!

i knew he was serious when he flashed me he belt ‘o’ harmonicas!!

can’t you just hear it?

patty even played instruments with her booty! HA.

Patty, Tom, Bruce and Bob! this group of people are so cool.  patty is actually our neighbor, who is a big goofball.  on halloween she borrowed my purple wig and the

night before purple day, i knocked on her door at like 9pm to get it back.  she of coarse invites me in while she tears apart her house to find the wig. lol. then she goes,

“want to meet my band?” i’m like, “uhhh yer in a band?!” “yah, we’re in the back bedroom! come hang out!” HA. so crazy. i meet the band, of coarse

someone grabbed the wig to perform in it, and i was totally awestruck! later, the opportunity arose to shoot them at Heinke’s Winery in westwood.  we enjoyed an awesome

dinner, while we tapped our feet to the awesome beats all night! we truly had a great time.  the other rad thing about them, they donate ALL their tips to various

foundations. oh, the reason for the name? apparently over the years, some band members come to gigs while others can’t make it…and they pull up random guests to sing with them…

just like the quote, “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know WHO you’re gonna get!”   the other highlight of my evening..when we were coming in to the winery the

host greeted us and for once in my life i got to say a phrase so many long to say, “i’m with the band!” :)   thanks for the fun guys! heart mel and adam.

the whacky art teacher and her sidekick.

lime day!                                                    typical ‘fun friday’

teal day. looks a bit more blue on screen. my sister ali got me the one-piece for christmas!

now that i have a point and shoot, it’s a lot easier to capture all the ’special’ (that’s the term adam uses when he see me each morning! hehe)

outfits i pull together. i wish we would have documented all of my hilarious ensembles the past few years i’ve been teaching. i could have compiled a thick album

to show my kids 20 years from now! and once again i have to give props to my aide, karen. she’s super brave though. she goes to school

and picks up her 2nd and 8th grader in outfits like these! most days i’m pretty sure her daughters make her promise she will not get out of her car and

been seen by their friends. HA! LOVE IT! and i’ve decided that i’m going to have ‘pink week’ instead of just one pink day. i have entirely too many articles to wear in

ONE DAY!! so eventually whenever i schedule that, i will try and doc. each day. :-) peace. mel
