I love the reaction I get when I show clients the back of the camera. It’s like they are utterly shocked how good they look. After a few

frames shared, confidence levels triple, my job becomes easy. Remember, the prettier you feel, the prettier you look.

When I schedule my sessions in the evening I always hope the sun cooperates. This session the sun was in and out but every now

and then it decided to be my friend. And then this awesomeness happens!

Callan is hilarious and also a little bit crazy. All boy.

He’s the first kid I’ve ever photographed that would just take off the second Perrie wasn’t holding him. Like for reals, SPRINT away as

fast as he could. I was exhausted watching Perrie chase him for 2hrs. No wonder she’s so skinny!

He is a handsome little devil though, huh? Nico’s hair is on it’s way to looking just like this! I love it!!!!

Big bro, Noah, could have shown up and been a super annoyed 16yr old. But nope! He rocked. Totally up for anything with zero complaint.

While the girls finished changing, they checked out the “alligators” in the pond.

I met Kevin a handful of years ago through Ali, while they both were teaching at PMHS. We have since shot their wedding, Matt as a baby

and now fresh baby Leah!

Can I just say how proud Ali must be to see you putting on that headband?

They really wanted the “baby in a basket” shot…

But the baby really didn’t want to be in the basket. Ha!

future was uncertain. He went on the organ list waiting for a donation at the beginning of 2012. Then last year on April 17, he got the call

that he had a new guardian angel and a 2nd chance at life! The next morning he was in surgery at IU while most of the westside prayed

for him and jodi. Now, they are expecting a baby boy this fall! Jodi wanted to celebrate his one year anniversary with a quick session

showing off both their perfect bellies. How cool!

In Jodi’s words, “To this day no words can describe the gratitude and love we have for our guardian angel/organ donor and their family. There is no way we will e.v.e.r. be able to repay them. The best we can do is to celebrate and rejoice for their beautiful life and especially their amazing gifts they left behind for Jay and so many others.”

I enjoy that her laugh completely takes away the belly! The baby is all, “Mom quit laughing! I have little room as it is in here!”

When I was doing my first round of editing I got to the shots taken around the time of the one on the right. I was very confused because

Adam was in front of them which means there should have been only one angle from directly behind, where I was standing. I was looking at

a series of shots in and out of focus and compositon that neither of us would shoot. THEN when I got to the shots of them walking towards

Adam he happened to catch the groomsmen off to the left next to where I was. Busted was the guy holding my camera to his eye!

BAHAHAH. Mystery solved. Well done whichever groomsman you are!
