the bushmans!

jason’s folks have a cabin in brookville they wanted to go to. it was a little bit of a drive. by the time we got there

it was pouring. so the first 40 minutes of our session looked like this. awesome. :(

carrie, josie, jaycie, and jason.

this is jaycie. she pretended like she didn’t want to participate but she was having fun, she didn’t fool me.

carrie finally gave the ok for them to get wet.  yippee!

thankfully no one was afraid of getting dirty, actually, we had the opposite problem, the girls wanted to play in the puddles! lol

can you even tell carrie is pregnant?! she only has a couple months left! they don’t know the sex, but they do know it was be a “J” name!

we headed down the road to some grape vines. how cool! how perfect is this family.

i heart your beautiful little face.

i love my sister sooooo much i just want to SQUUUUEEEEEEZE her! lol hilarious.

jaycie was about over it, so adam brought her back by playing a little “chase the camera!” :) it worked. adam’s favorite.

adam was dancing around behind me. josie was imitating him. hehe.

josie and adam were best friends by the end. she kept her eyes on him and just grinned her little heart out! ADORABLE!!

i was nervous that day because carrie had to book us like 8 mths out and because of the conditions i wasn’t sure we were getting

good stuff. i actually love this session. :)   we had so much fun with the girls, they cracked us up. can’t wait to hear what the next

baby is!!!!! we might just end up called him/her “j” because they can’t decide on the names yet! ha! k, family is over for adam

and eric’s bday. i better go pay attention to them. oops. :) heart, melanie and adam

i’m having a hard time focusing…

….when i have to stare at this face all day. :)

last week nori was being the normal goober she always is and i just had to capture it.  as funny as it sounds, i forget to take (good) pics of her!!

she’s constantly ‘talking’. more of like a constant aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa with a little maaa or laaa or baaa sound in there. she’s loud.

and she thinks she’s funny. well, so do we of course! yesterday she was at her 6mth but really almost 7mth appointment and the dr thought she was hilarious.

he said, “wow, her vocal chords are definitely working!” he was shocked at how much she wanted to talk. he obviously doesn’t know her mother very well! ;)

she’s wanting to touch and do everything now. lilo lays on the back of the couch (you can see the tip of her ear behind her), and nori likes to stand there and

try to touch lilo. usually lilo jumps and runs the second nori stands up. she laughs and leans towards lilo and falls. adorable.

i thought i’d throw a few pics up since i’ve gotten some complaints that people haven’t seen nori in awhile. ;) by the way, she’s 15lbs(25%) and 26.5 in(50%).

i must get back to work now.  though it’s not easy, since every day is “take your daughter to work day.”  have a lovely day friends! heart, melanie

pix of pax!

before eric went back to work a couple weeks ago, i did a QUICK sesion with the pace family!

this sequence happened in less than 2 seconds. :) if you are a parent then you’ve seen this a million times. hilarious.

i love when babies sleep with their arms over their heads. don’t you just want to say “ahhhhhh” for them?

i thought it was cute to put paxton under their wedding photos. hey bbmk, have you ever seen how they hung these in their house? :)

baby lips are so cute. ok, everything baby, is so cute!

i found these green and blue polka dot bins at target. they match his room perfectly!! it’ll be cute if they

frame this in there, see how long it takes people to realize its the same bin.

erin and eric told us they were pregs with this onesie they made for nori. it says, “hi, my name is nori…i have a new best friend!” and his name is

PAXMAN! they call her nori girl and i call him paxman. thankfully they like it because it kinda stuck! adam’s favorite. (DUH!)

this is going to be one of those pictures that in like 40 years paxton’s friends look at and say, “dammmmnnnn dude, yo mama is HOT!” :) my fav.

i can’t believe he will be a month old on thursday?!?! that’s just nuts. now that he’s finally here, i’m sure you’ll watch him grow

the caldwells.

i have never seen hair this color, not out of a box. i hope she always loves it!

in order to get her to stay sitting down they had to play “tickle toes” with the weeds. :)

my fav. kate, this is a great shot of you. i love it.

ava is very smart. though she was only two, i could carry on a conversation with her like she was 10.

giggles mcgee. doesn’t this make you smile?

she was counting the flowers for me :)

all photogs know the best way to get a kid to cooperate is to show them their picture on the camera! never fails. adam’s fav.

about now is when she decided that she wanted nothing more to do with adam taking her picture. this is not a first for little girls. the beginning is

always fine and then suddenly they shy away. so, he had to start hiding…but like i said, she’s no fool. haha.

this picture is adorable. she was peeking around the corner to see if adam was still there. ha! it’s a good thing we have photoshop skillz too

because the words, “YOU SUCK!” were graffitied on the side. :) ha!

jim was super cute with her.

i remember a redheaded girl i grew up with who had to wear mascara everyday bc her lashes were so light.  looks like ava is in the same boat!

you know how i love sunglasses on kids. :)

ava’s mommy is kate, laura deno’s big sister. we met this cute family at craig and laura’s wedding last november. we had a lot of fun with you guys!

ava is just a sweetie! thanks for having us document this fun time in your life! hanging out with such cool kids like theirs make me have high
