In her recent blogpost Maria states the following, “God’s Will is perfect, and I have to keep committing myself to that truth.” Her week old
daughter, Vivian, is a very special baby. She was born with both HLHS and Abernathy Syndrome which makes her the first baby to be born with
both. So as she continues to baffle doctors down the road with her awesomeness, it will be no surprise to me when we start seeing her picture in
medical journals. She’s kind of a big deal.

Maria actually inquired through our Beautiful Beginnings site to have Vivian’s birth photographed months ago. She ended up holding off
and asking Kelly to do a newborn session when things calmed down. Before this could even happen, my dear friends at
One Heart Two Souls asked me to surprise one of their mamas with a session before her big surgery. Without question, I shifted my plans
and unbeknownst to me, I was meeting the very same Maria who inquired months ago. Coincidence? No such thing. (It’s times like these
when God’s plan seems so evident.)

Such sweet and loving parents. I believe they are all equally blessed to have each other. They couldn’t be more positive about everything.

When I was signing in at the desk, the lady had to flip through many pages to find a blank line for my name. Little Miss Popular!
What delectable little chubs.

“Party in my criiiib yo!!”

Isn’t she just beautiful!

As new parents it’s hard enough getting used to the feeling of wearing your heart on the outside, much less being thrown into such an
intense situation only a week in. Their faith is obvious and so inspiring to me.
I’m sure Maria has a million more of those kisses for you baby girl.
As you read this, Vivian is undergoing her very first big surgery. (11am 8/1/12) She has already beaten some crazy odds, but has so much
more ahead of her. Please take a minute and pray for this precious baby, her surgeons and her parents especially. I know God has big plans
for her one way or another. I’m sure Maria will be updating her blog at some point after the surgery. I know I will be following along with
the rest of the community, anxious to hear the success of her first surgery! Much love to all of you. Heart, Melanie.
