Mr. & Mrs. Larke!

A lovely spring wedding!

Ladies worked it…

And so did the dudes. :)

I loved watching their love.

When I was doing my first round of editing I got to the shots taken around the time of the one on the right. I was very confused because

Adam was in front of them which means there should have been only one angle from directly behind, where I was standing. I was looking at

a series of shots in and out of focus and compositon that neither of us would shoot. THEN when I got to the shots of them walking towards

Adam he happened to catch the groomsmen off to the left next to where I was. Busted was the guy holding my camera to his eye!

BAHAHAH. Mystery solved. Well done whichever groomsman you are! ;)

That’s-allota-peeps!

I went to high school with Courtney and grew up with a couple of the bridesmaids. Some remember Linds as the “Can factory bride.

This dress was made for your body Courtney!!

The second after Adam took this shot the guys burst into laughter. :)

Shameless plug of our friend Brenda and her vocal cords. Need a wedding vocalist?? Email me for her deets! She’s amazing.

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Larke!

I loved hearing the stories about you guys in medical school (she’s already a Dr. and he will be soon!) and your early love. I hope your

transition to living together in Colorado goes wonderful! Good luck with the new position too! Congrats! Heart, Melanie and Adam.

Mr & Mrs Holland.

So pretty!!!

As you may have read in their engagement session post, Lisa is part of Ali’s XU gang. Because my sister could only be there in spirit, they

honored her by wearing her bracelets. This pearl one Lisa is wearing was one of Ali’s favorites. That was such a brilliant idea! :) I’m sure she

is thrilled you did that.

They had their first look at a park down the street from their home. It was 50* but with the brisk wind it felt like 25*. BURRR.

Spring blooms are the best to shoot through. EEEK! I love it!

Simply gorgeous.

The red owl. Ooohhhh that stinkin’ red owl. A tradition started by my lovely sister and her craziness. She found that hideous owl abandoned

in the XU dorms before the whole group moved into their college house. It sat in the window there until the first girl got married and then

received it as a wedding gift. The bride has to gets to display the owl in their home until the tradition takes the owl to the next bride’s home.

Again, with Ali missing it just didn’t seem right, so Lisa had a picture of the girls and the ugly owl framed from Ali’s wedding on the

dessert table. So sweet. (And unexpected. Tears.) And also, that damn owl was even present at Ali’s funeral. Oy. (Iknowshelovedthat!)

On cold or hot days I always try to warm up or cool down brides during portraits if we are waiting on someone or something.

What a cute moment Adam caught! Love it!

It was fun to finally see you as the bride, Lisa! Scottie seems amazing and I am just thrilled for you guys. Hope it was everything you

dreamed it would be! Thank you for remembering my sister in your big day. :-* Heart, Melanie and Adam.

Here is the picture I was referring to, and of course Ali is trying to feed her owl champagne. She was somethin’ else!

Scott & Sally.

My good friend, Brenda, connected me with her cousin to shoot her engagement party. (Which was an honor to me because I’ve been

hearing about cousin Sally since High School. :) Sally and Scott are on Broadway and have other various important acting roles.)

Unbeknownst to Brenda (and her entire family), Sally told me some confidential information. They have been together for years and

actually engaged for some time, so the secret was, it wasn’t really just their engagement party…

They got everyone to come upstairs because they had a “welcome and thanks for your support, toast.” They were a little giddy. :)

And then one of their BFF’s up and stated he was just ordained online and can officially marry them, right then and there!

The guests had a hard time grasping this idea because people don’t realize the ease of becoming a marriage officiant.

And so the intimate wedding, written by Scott, began in front of their family.

And then it was OMG LOOK SISTERS, I’m MARRIED!!

A delicious display of food awaited the guests.

Before heading out, I took the happy couple outside to sneak a couple portraits in the freeeeezing cold.

I’m glad was available for you two. I really enjoyed the surprise, thanks for having me! Enjoy Mexico! Congrats.

Heart, Melanie.
